Attend the presentation on Isocyanate-free Polyurethane Adhesives made from domestic Biomass (BioNIPU), related to IC2 (BioNIPU adhesive) developed in CIRCBUILT

Our partner Prof. Dr. Ingo Mayer, Programme Director, Professor and Research Group Leader at the Berner Fachhochschule – BFH, will attend the 2nd International Wood BioEconomy Forum (WBE) on 4–5 March 2026.

The second edition of the Internal Wood BioEconomy Forum will take place at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, Germany.

This year’s theme, “Status Quo and Prospects for the Future,” highlights one of the most urgent challenges of our time. As UN Secretary-General António Guterres warns, “Greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise, global temperatures continue to climb, and our planet is rapidly approaching tipping points that will trigger irreversible climate chaos. We are on a highway to climate hell – with our foot on the accelerator.”

Against this backdrop, the Internal Wood BioEconomy Forum seeks to explore how future energy production and material use can align with the 1.5°C target. The forum emphasizes that a profound transformation of economies and lifestyles is unavoidable. Moving away from fossil resources and shifting toward biogenic raw materials – paired with climate‑friendly manufacturing processes – forms a central pillar of the bioeconomy, especially in the construction sector. This transition represents a key pathway to sustainable development and reduced environmental impact.

On March 4th, during the session dedicated to Adhesives, Prof. Dr. Ingo Mayer (BFH) will hold an oral presentation on Isocyanate-free Polyurethane Adhesives made from domestic Biomass (BioNIPU), related to IC2 (BioNIPU adhesive) developed in CIRCBUILT.
